Our story
About
For decades, the Schateke has been the place to go for young and old. In addition to the classics such as curry sausage & Schateke Schnitzel, there are also various burgers on the menu.
Known is the Schateke for the meter freshly tapped beer and Lütje Lage. For Soccer fans, of course, the Schateke is also known as a sports bar – with an extensive live sports offer.
So you can watch all games of Hannover 96, the Champions League and the German national team live on 7 flat screen TVs.
Come by and enjoy the rustic atmosphere in our old town pub – we look forward to seeing you!
Freshly tapped from the barrel
In addition to the various freshly tapped beers, there are also special beer packages: a meter Pils or a wooden crate Pils. Of course, the classic "Lütje Lage" may not be missing.

Since the founding of the Schateke, the currywurst & schnitzel have been the most popular dishes in our old town pub.

See and be seen, on our open-air terrace people like to linger for a beer or a coffee - and then usually stay much longer than planned.
Football fans or those who want to become one again – are exactly right in the pub Schateke. The games of Hannover 96, as well as the Bundesliga, Champions League & national team can be followed on seven flat screens.
Another highlight every year is the Christmas market in the old town. In front of the Schateke there is the „smallest mulled wine stand in Hannover!“ (and the cheapest 😉) On 31.12. we let it rip again.
Traditionally, we organize a humid morning pint, which ends in a party at the turn of the year.
